The Filipino-American United Church of Christ (Fil-Am UCC) of New York believes in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and proclaims the Reign of God to all peoples, as we develop a community of faith that embraces every person in the community so that love, peace and brotherhood of all humankind will reign in every heart, and every person will find meaning for their existence.
We are a congregation whose present members are mostly immigrants from the Philippines, their families and friends. While most of the members belonged to the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), some come from other traditions like Roman Catholic, Baptist, etc.
Since June 2009, we decided with two other congregations in Richmond Hill - The Pilgrim Congregational Church and the Union Congregational Church to have joint worship services every Sunday morning. We adopted the theme: "Three Congregations United in One Faith."
Everyone, regardless of religious background or life story, is welcome here.
